TOSDIC-CIE DS, a distributed control system, is highly reliable with quick processing functions due to its use of a workstation as well as engineering tools compatible with networks offered by multiple vendors.
Hyosung’s TOSDIC–CIE DS has been implemented within share-type and open-type systems. By adopting a workstation (OS: Windows), it can share the data with Windows applications. In addition, it utilizes a workstation for the Process Data Server in order to utilize resources and develop an environment which is universal to the OS.
Since the system supports the international standard protocol IEC (6)1131-3, it delivers an open development environment, outgrowing the dedicated programming environment which differs by industry area, enterprise, and country. The Client/Server method is used for the distributed control system for centralized monitoring (monitoring operation) to relieve the system load. The Ethernet of the control system has been especially configured as a standard redundancy for improving reliability. This is accomplished by minimizing traffic collision and securing responses to manipulation while the system provides a monitoring operation screen based on Windows, enhancing the harmony with business applications and delivering an easy-to-use monitoring operation environment.
